Intuitive Productivity?

HEY BEAUTIFUL!
Today I’ve got three questions for you:
How are you feeling today?
How productive do you feel?
How does your second answer determine your first answer?
You’re welcome;)
I wish to speak about productivity. And about the big blow that always happens when our internalized concepts on productivity meet our intuition. I wish to speak about it because I see this as one of the biggest pains in my clients’ life transformations towards a more soul-led creation - and one of the most change making healing journeys:
How to be intuitive AND productive?!
The past few days I felt unproductive. I felt tired. Exhausted. No flow. No creativity. I didn’t feel like writing or recording or creating programmes. It weighed me down. It made me feel guilty. It made me feel like I was missing out on something.
Quick reality check:
Was I truly unproductive?
Surprise - In fact, I wasn’t. I planted several trees a day. I renovated my sleeping hut. I managed the farm and our new youth project. I took 10 people on a one day agroforestry trip. I nourished my relationship with my team on the ground. I expanded my inner space towards calmness, peace and enoughness. I healed some past life trauma on being communal. I rested a lot. I went for walks and recharged.
That’s reality. And yet: my inner reality kept telling me: You’re unproductive.
Simply because whatever I created didn't seem directly connected to my income generating creations.
Where I was raised, your worth is measured by your productivity. Your productive force. Your work load. Results. Your countable fruits.
Nobody asks about how much time and energy you gave into nourishing, into expanding, into healing, into holding space for what wants to evolve, if there’s no direct, visible return. (And that’s exactly why self-employed creators aren’t acknowledged as “real workforce” there.) Where I come from you should be ashamed when feeling light, easy and in tune with your own rhythms because that might mean you don’t work enough, you’re not serious enough. You don’t sacrifice enough to be meaningful or to “get somewhere”.
I don’t think I need to tell you that these “rules” don’t align with an intuitive way of creating. And yet, they completely own most of us, sabotage us and make us believe that listening to our own flows will leave us unproductive, which means: without success, without satisfaction, without income!
Our internalized concepts of productivity are exploiting our souls. They make sure you create for a system, not for your own self-efficacy and growth.
DO YOU FEEL THAT PAIN THESE DAYS?
I’d love to tell you this:
The more incapable you feel to follow, obey and fulfill those laws of productivity, the closer you have come towards choosing your natural laws of growth. You're no longer ignoring your intuitive truth on YOUR TRUE, HEALTHY AND REWARDING PRODUCTIVE.
The more closely you live with your intuition, the less possible it becomes for you to exploit your energy. Your inner ressources. To chase productivity without nurturing the vessel of your growth.
Your intuitive productive is unique.
Yet here’s some “laws” of intuitive productivity I’ve seen in every soul I met so far:
You can’t pull a tree to grow faster:
The more pressure I see people put into their creations, the more they get caught in pictures of strict concepts of implementation, the less their natural energy flows productively. If it feels forced, you’re not boosting your productive. You’re actually shutting it down. Talk to your soul. Remember your sacred pace.
Don’t teach a drowning how to swim:
Would you train a naked tree in winter how to produce fresh leaves? You wouldn't. Because it would kill it.
Our societies judge overwhelm or pausing as weakness, as a state that’s not wanted in a result-addicted strategy.
Take time to reset. To heal. Be off. Don’t look for ways to still get something done, to still create towards your wanted result, to still perform! Don’t try to teach yourself swimming when it’s time to find sense and comfort in drowning.
That’s NOT LAZYNESS. That’s not giving up. That’s not keeping your productivity on hold. THAT'S THE ESSENTIAL BASE OF YOUR PRODUCTIVE. It’s the only way that allows true organic growth, leading to a productive that’s sustainable, not a one-day-high.
Productivity is not an energy to be mastered.
It’s a natural side product of the flows of your life energy and your creative energy. It's a natural part of your cycle to HARVEST FRUITS, when letting life and creation breathe to their own beat.
The tree knows all about its growth. Fruits are naturally assured.
I'm sure each of these "laws" make sense to you. Which doesn't mean that they're easy to trust in, to follow, to prioritize.
It's actually F.... HARD! And it's possible.
Why don't you try this:
Next time you feel unproductive, useless and not as efficient as you "should" be, try ask yourself these questions:
First: do the reality check. How much truth does actually lie in the feeling of "unproductive".
What if your income-generating creation is waiting for some support from other creations in your life.
Which of those creations/spaces do you have the energy for to nurture, to expand right now? A relationship? Your body-relation? A passion? Music, pleasure, nature-connection?
Focus on this creation first.
How much energy are you giving into invisible growth these days? Into healing? Into recharging? Celebrate it. (What a produce!!<3)
What are you preparing for? Honour it.
What's something you're NOT CREATING now because it would feel like inner exploitation, that you would still have forced yourself into some months ago?
Have you eaten well to support you body?
Who and what can support you in enjoying this state of "winter", without forcing you into "spring"? Ask for support.
What love message to yourself lies in your "unproductivity" these days? Celebrate yourself.
Who's mainly benefitting from the productivity you're chasing? Your soul? Your body? Your mind? Your ego? Someone other than you?
Does the world stop turning because of your "break"? Does YOUR world stop turning?
Take yourself serious.
And before you're asking the question that usually comes through at this point, let me give you the answer:
Yes, it is possible to pay your bills from that place of surrendering to your intuitive productive. Not with pressure. Not with a planned strategy. But with trust and focus. Whatever voice is telling you differently wants you functioning, not living.
So the question I'd love to ask you back is: What price do you pay when you follow your intuitive productive? And which do you pay when ignoring it? Choose your cost.
The anxiety of "I can't be living intuitively and yet pay my bills" is a liar. And it's natural for it to show up once you've started to taste the possible but not trusting it yet. When you're in the in-between. In this state, there is no answer that can satisfy your mind.
Just know: That voice is not of you.
Your tree knows how to grow. Trust. Your tree will bear fruits. Because it's its nature. In your own divine timing.
You got this.
Love, Jana
